Our desire is to create a safe environment for women to reveal their past, pain and present lives without judgment. Since September 2006, we have helped hundreds of women of all nationalities come from under the strongholds of their lives and partnered them with local agencies to continue building on their first step. In 2010, I went to Miramar Prison in San Diego, California to visit a young lady. While there I had an opportunity to speak to the women in the prison. As they filed into the meeting area they looked guarded and anxious. I found out that many speakers had came before me and some had even tried to “fix” the ladies’ issues. After about an hour and a half talking with them, they had to go back to their cells, but many of them if not all of them left in tears, broken and ready to be helped. As I prepared to leave the prison, the Chaplin asked, “How did you do it?” I responded “Do what?” He said, “Get them to share their past, their pain. I have been here for years talking with them, along with my staff, counselors and other ministers, but they never shared the deeper reason behind why they did what they did!” I told him it was simple, I shared my life with them and they realized that we are all individual women with the same past, but difference experiences. I am still involved in the lives of these ladies. Women all over the world are living in private pain and shame of things that happened to them in their past as children and now presently as adults. There are thousands of women who are victims of childhood sexual, emotional and mental abuse as well as adults living in dangerous and violent relationships. “Why won’t they just leave or tell someone?” is the question everyone asks, but no one has an easy answer. Sadly, many of these women find themselves lost, walking through life empty. Prisons are full of these women for various reasons ranging from petty crimes, drug abuse, alcoholism and even murder. Some have committed suicide… Through your support of our organization, we will be able to work together assisting women in transforming and rebuilding their lives from strongholds, bondage, guilt, pain, low self-esteem, drugs, alcohol, depression, lack of education and much more. Thank you in advance for partnering with our organization!
